This incident is not an isolated case. There have been numerous reports of Latina women and other people of color experiencing abuse and harassment at Sephora stores across the country. In 2019, a viral video surfaced of a Sephora employee in New York City accusing a black woman of stealing, while ignoring a white woman who was also shoplifting.
