John Wick: Chapter 2 picks up where the first film left off, with John Wick (Keanu Reeves) trying to leave his violent past behind. However, his retirement is short-lived, as he’s forced back into the game by a former associate, Ares (Ruby Rose). Ares demands that John Wick fulfill an old debt by killing her sister, Santino D’Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio), who’s trying to take over the High Table, a council of crime lords that governs the underworld.

Keanu Reeves is, of course, the star of the show, and he delivers a performance that’s both stoic and captivating. However, the supporting cast is equally impressive.
